Lisa Madigan sues debt-settlement firm (Chicago Tribune)

Dallas-based Credit Solutions of America accused of leaving consumers in deeper debt Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan filed suit Wednesday against a debt-settlement firm, alleging the firm accepted money from consumers but failed to negotiate on their behalf to lower debt. Madigan is seeking to bar the company from operating in the state.
